Ms. Streck's Classroom Expectations - The Top 5
"Mind your P's & R's!!"
1. Be PROMPT & RELIABLE:
Prompt = on time = in your seat BEFORE the bell rings.
If the door is closed when you get to the classroom, you must go to Student Services and get a late pass. You are an important part of this class, and we rely on you for your contributions from the very beginning of class time.
2. Be PREPARED & READY:
You must always come to class with necessary materials ready to participate and learn:
-AGENDA You must have a place/system for noting homework and class reminders.
-PEN/PENCIL (If you come without one, you must "Ask 3 before me!" If no one has anything to lend, then you must trade me a personal item or tickets. Found (in the hallway) pencils will earn you 2 tickets for each pencil you find and bring to class (must be usable, though not necessarily sharpened.)
-BOOK Whether from home, public library, school library or class library, you must have a book of your choosing to read in class each day we meet. You will log and reflect on your reading regularly.
3. Be a POSITIVE ROLE MODEL:
Do your best to always have a good attitude.
Help others in need.
Clean up after yourself; offer to help others clean up.
Work hard and try your best.
Be honest, especially with yourself!
4. Be PRODUCTIVE & RESPONSIBLE:
Use class time wisely and appropriately. Do not waste it with distractions and disruptions. Focus on what needs to get done and do it!
5. Be POLITE & RESPECTFUL:
"No S.U.'s, Just P.B.Q.'s!!" ("NO 'shut-up's, JUST 'please-be-quiet's!")
BULLYING, "JUST PLAYIN", TEASING, MAKING FUN OF, DISRESPECT OR ANY ACTION AIMED AT OFFENDING OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
Be nice, and use your manners! Use "please", "thank you", "may I...", "excuse me", "you're welcome", etc.
Do not laugh at others when they make mistakes. You make them too sometimes.
Please Note: All students are required to know and follow Wake County Public School System's Code of Student Conduct (follow this link to read it directly.) In addition, students are obligated to adhere to Carroll Magnet Middle School's expectations as outlined in the Student Handbook (within the agenda). This includes following the Carroll Dress Code Policy, which you can review by following this link.
